Eating a healthy meal out can be a tricky task to master, especially when it comes to picking a restaurant that doesn't burn a hole in the wallet. Team LA will be travelling around relatively healthy restaurants in Klang Valley to try out their menu and dish out our most honest opinion (yes, we are getting our Gordon Ramsay on!) Last week, we ventured into the PJ neighbourhood and stumbled upon “Table & Apron”. Our favourite part was the organic farm-to-table concept and with that, everything was freshly cooked -- which meant the flavours were very much prominent to the palate.
Table & Apron, previously known as Kitchen Table, opened in 2014. Today, they are known for their clean and airy setting, with humble cooking full of fresh yet delectable dishes. With a private room above, celebrations of any occasion are welcome to complement their modest vibe.
Now onto the most important part....
What We Ate

Must order dishes: Fish Chowder and Crispy Sweet Potato. The chowder sure does pack a punch and fills you up with generous amount of fish pieces. As for the Crispy Sweet Potato, Table & Apron sure lives up to their name for doing their crisp dishes justice (we hear their Crispy Fried Chicken is a winner!). It's crunchy, greaseless, and well balanced with honey drizzle and saltiness from the ricotta. We aren't entirely discounting the charred eggplant and roasted cauliflower, though. Both were fresh but we are just used to having eggplant a little more cooked. As for the cauliflower, we felt the celery overpowered the natural sweetness of the cauliflower. The texture was just right, though. We'd definitely be back for more with a bigger group so that we can order more dishes. Certainly eyeing that Fried Chicken (everything in moderation!). We are already drooling at their Chinese New Year menu. *Table & Apron is located at 23, Jalan SS 20/11, Damansara Kim, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Open from Tuesday to Sunday till 10pm. Street parking available. Let us know of any dining places you think is worthwhile of this list and we will feature it in our next review.Keep sparkling,
